Charlie Palmer Restaurant
Recently, we received a call about a noisy bar at an upscale restaurant in Southern California. The lounge/bar area at Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza was experiencing a lot of echo and was uncomfortably loud for the patrons as well as the employees.
Being an upscale, beautifully designed space, we wanted to tie acoustics and aesthetics together to provide a practical solution. We spent time with the client, exploring many different options. We decided on Fabric Wrapped Clouds above the bar area, to absorb the sound from the bar staff and minimize the amount of sound waves reverberating off of the reflective surface of the ceiling. These Clouds are easy to install and provide a significant amount of absorption. They can be ordered in an size up to 4′ x 10′ and there is a wide range of fabric options.
We also installed 4′ x 4′ Fabric Wrapped Wall Panels on the far wall, to provide additional absorption. The wall panels blend in beautifully and while providing excellent acoustics, they do not take away from the beauty of the lounge.
Do you have a noisy Restaurant, Bar, or Lounge? Are you looking for a product that blends Or one that POPS!?! Do you have negative Yelp reviews claiming your space is too noisy? Give us a call! Restaurant acoustics is one of our specialties. We would love to help you find a solution that fits your design scheme and your budget.
